OverviewReferenceFinancial ControllerSalaryZAR/monthJob Location- South Africa -- Johannesburg Metro -- JohannesburgJob TypePermanentPosted05 June 2024Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Johannesburg.Responsibilities:Act as a business partner to various departments/stakeholders.Preparation and distribution of monthly management reports and analysis of results (standard costing/variance/profitability/overheads/inventory valuations).Review existing and implement new controlling SOPs.Manage the finance team, debtors, creditors, and bookkeeping.Oversee inventory management with operations.Manage IT infrastructure.Compile accurate monthly accounts for the business.Ensure financial close procedures are in line, including account reconciliations and full review of P&L accounts.Maintain processes and procedures for efficient and effective management of operations, including billing and debtor management.Work with corporate functions to align with group standards.Complete accurate monthly forward forecasting.Manage and own the budget process in line with corporate timelines and requirements.Manage and own the annual financial audit process in line with timelines and requirements.Prepare and control the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes.Perform other ad-hoc reporting and analysis.Key Skills:Strong financial and analytical skillsStrategic planningCalculating and interpreting financial trendsSound knowledge of professional accountancy practicesEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lead a teamSound internal and external client relationsAccurate compilation of relevant financial data and statisticsCompany product, market, and competitor knowledgeAbility to multi-task and perform at a high standard during stressful situations and with time constraintsSelf-motivated and ability to work independently with attention to detailGoal-oriented and deadline-drivenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of emotional intelligenceAbility to function productively and work under pressureStrong business acumenTeam playerExperience working for a multinational organization is an advantageExperience in the manufacturing environment is an advantageQualifications:Professional accountancy qualificationMinimum of 10 years of experience in a finance management environmentComputer literacy in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and ExcelA valid Code 8 driver's license and own transport
