Industrial automation organisation is looking for a Financial Controller to join their engineering team.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end financial statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Lead the annual budgeting process, including setting budget guidelines and reviewing departmental budgets.
Design and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Develop and implement cash management strategies, including optimising working capital.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial implications of business decisions and initiatives.
Oversee the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency.
Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 + years of experience in a similar financial management or controller role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in financial management software, Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets competency.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA).
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Netsuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
Experience in managing financial operations in a multinational or multi-entity environment.
