Financial Controller

Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team, based in East London.Minimum Requirements:-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCA(SA) or other relevant professional certification is preferredMinimum of 8 years' experience in Finance with 5 years in the Construction industryExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modellingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong leadership and people management skillsProficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteDuties:-Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processesParticipate in developing and implementing financial strategies and policies to support the company's goals and objectivesManage and monitor the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingPrepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to senior management and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standardsOversee the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable and general ledgerIdentify areas for cost reduction and process improvementLead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support as neededWork closely with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives
