Financial Controller - £110,000 + Car allowance + Bonus & benefits East London (Hybrid)
Background
Large FTSE house builder experiencing good growth is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to support the divisional finance director and MD. This role requires a technically competent finance professional with a solid background in FP&A and commercial accounting.
Main responsibilities:
Working alongside the FD and MD, contributing to the development of the region's 5-year business planDeveloping financial business plans, budgets and forecasts and being fully accountable for their implementation and deliveryHighlighting opportunities to increase profitability and ROCEOverseeing a first class, high performing finance team to service the needs of the region, with day-to-day management of the team and responsibility for their training, coaching & developmentSupporting on due diligence exercises of new business/ land dealsOwnership of all aspects of financial reporting including delivering month end, review of journals, reconciliations and monthly management accounts with variance analysisWorking alongside the Land, Technical, Commercial and Sales teams to update the appraisals on a monthly basis, providing sufficient challengeOwnership of the weekly/ monthly cashflow forecast, ensuring the Group has sufficient funding to deliver its growth plansOwnership of the monthly board packOwnership of the annual budget packKey Requirements:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' PQEStrong budget and forecasting skillsStrong academic backgroundExcellent attention to detailDriven, hardworking and ambitiousExcellent communication skillsTeam management experienceAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelBroadstone Resourcing Ltd acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business and all appointments will be made on merit alone.
