Candidate requirements; A Diploma or Degree in Finance would be a plus Proficiency in using Tourplan or Hubspot would be a plus Must have financial expertise In-depth understanding of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel Excellent proficiency with Sage Accounting Software Strong understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.)
A passion for travel in Africa and some traveling already under the belt A minimum of five years of experience in a safari-related finance role Handle admin with aplomb amaze us with your analytical skills, organization, focus on accuracy and efficiency Fluent in English Good communication skills Responsibilities include; Assist your travel team with financial processes and duties to ensure a seamless experience for our travel clients.
Absolute dedication to supporting our finance team and safari consultants with quoting, invoicing, administration, bookkeeping, and responding to queries Invoice reconciliation to supplier payments daily.
Identify discrepancies and resolve banking issues with the relevant institutions, as well as maintain accurate data entry for all financial transactions.
Innovate across the financial team to improve financial systems and processes to support the growth of our team, ensuring they can scale effectively as we expand.
Assist with travel expense reimbursements for employees and liaise with the Finance department as necessary.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all employee deductions and payments are accurate.
Maintain employee financial records and liaise with our finance team for employee-related financial queries.
Ensure compliance with South African tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.).
Assist with statutory audits and prepare documentation for SARS (South African Revenue Service) as required.
Stay updated on financial and tax-related regulations.
Process and monitor all incoming invoices and payments.
Support the finance team in reconciling accounts payable and receivable balances.
Support the finance team to ensure timely supplier payments and follow up on outstanding client balances.
Support the finance team and consultants in liaising with suppliers and properties Provide a high level of accuracy in financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
