This position is ideal for someone with a robust background in manufacturing finance, who can adapt to the complexities of a multinational business. The role is hybrid, based in South Africa, with occasional travel to local offices.Key Responsibilities:Financial Oversight: Manage financial control functions for European manufacturing operations, overseeing accurate and timely financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance with international and local standards.Cost Analysis & Management: Analyse manufacturing costs, manage cost accounting processes, and provide insights to optimize production expenses and drive profitability.Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, working with regional stakeholders to set realistic financial goals and adapt to changing market conditions.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with European financial regulations, maintaining audit readiness and adherence to reporting standards in the manufacturing sector.Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, planning, and control to increase efficiency and support operational excellence.Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, and capital expenditure, ensuring optimal use of resources.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and executive teams across regions to ensure alignment with financial objectives and operational goals.Ideal Candidate Profile:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CA(SA) designation required.Minimum 5-7 years in a Financial Controller or senior accounting role,Direct experience in manufacturing or production-based environments (preferable)Proficiency in cost accounting, financial reporting software, and ERP systems.
