Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager
As Solutions Architects, we believe that through an in-depth understanding of our clients' needs, combined with our ability to construct portfolios which optimally blend multiple investment strategies and sources of risk and return, we enable our clients to achieve their desired investment outcomes. Our purpose-driven approach aims to provide appropriate solutions that cater for all phases of investors' lives and for the different goals they may have. We are able to offer our clients a convenient and cost-effective solution to the portfolio construction challenge, drawing on our extensive investment strategy, manager selection, market research and portfolio construction skills.
Our multi-management team researches, blends and manages solutions that give investors access to the best combination of passive, smart beta, traditional and alternative investment strategies, managed by skillful asset managers for optimal diversification. We aim to combine different sources of risks or style betas to achieve the best possible returns, at a given level of risk. We design and blend unique solutions for our clients, based on a deep understanding of their investment aims and a fundamental insight into how they perceive risk. These solutions are constructed using a blend of the best asset managers available and are managed within pre-determined asset allocation ranges.
What will you do?
With logical thinking and excellent numerical skills, provide support to the Financial Manager in the execution of his/her responsibilities, including:
Verifying and allocating details of business transactions to accountsReceiving invoices from suppliers, checking reasonability and processingCalculating and processing invoices for fee incomeEnsuring collection of incomeCompleting reconciliationsReviewing completeness and accuracy of financial record keepingManaging expenses against budgets and reporting back to management (IT / Marketing / cellphone / training)Compiling reports to managementResolving payment and invoicing queriesCompleting rebate calculationsAssisting with month-end procedures, including provisions and reportingAssisting internal and external auditors with their requestsAssisting with annual budget processesFollowing up on outstanding receivables / payablesChecking and authorizing broker paymentsAd hoc requestsCompleting and submitting asset and flows report (portfolio list)Manager fee expense reasonability checks and payments and liaising with managers to resolve differences. What will make you successful in this role? Accounting degree3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role in the financial services industryProficient in accountingProficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills are essential)EssBase experience will be advantageousIDU experience will be advantageousStrong attention to detailProactive attitude Qualification and Experience
Degree or Diploma with 2 to 4 years of related experience.
