Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager As Solutions Architects, we believe that through an in-depth understanding of our clients' needs, combined with our ability to construct portfolios which optimally blend multiple investment strategies and sources of risk and return, we enable our clients to achieve their desired investment outcomes. With logical thinking and excellent numerical skills, provide support to the Financial Manager in the execution of his/her responsibilities, including: Verifying and allocating details of business transactions to accounts Receiving invoices from suppliers, checking reasonability and processing Calculating and processing invoices for fee income Ensuring collection of income Completing reconciliations Reviewing completeness and accuracy of financial record keeping Managing expenses against budgets and reporting back to management (IT / Marketing / cellphone / training) Compiling reports to management Resolving payment and invoicing queries Completing rebate calculations Assisting with month-end procedures, including provisions and reporting Assisting internal and external auditors with their requests Assisting with annual budget processes Following up on outstanding receivables / payables Checking and authorizing broker payments Ad hoc requests Completion and submission of asset and flows report (portfolio list) Manager fee expense reasonability checks and payments and liaising with managers to resolve differences. What will make you successful in this role? • Accounting degree • 3 – 5 years in a similar role in the financial services industry • Proficient in accounting • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills are essential) • EssBase experience will be advantageous • IDU experience will be advantageous • Strong attention to detail • Proactive attitude Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma with 2 to 4 years related experience. Knowledge and Skills Recording of financial transactions, reconciliations and query resolution, compliance with SOP's and SLA's, authorization of transactions within mandates.
