Financial Controller

A big player in the Retail and FMCG industry located in Cape Town is looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Controller to join their team.The Financial Controller will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well the development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.Responsibilities:Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsCoordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingResearch technical accounting issues for complianceSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAdditional controller duties as necessaryRequirements:CA(SA)5 years of experience within the Retail/ FMCG industryMinimum 3 years of managerial experienceStrong financial modeling experience essentialCAPEX management experienceConfident in delivering management packs
