Are you an experienced Accounts Controller fluent in Dutch, with a deep understanding of Dutch accounting practices and regulations?
Join our international team in Cape Town and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong financial controls across both Dutch and South African accounts.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger management. Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting standards, tax regulations, and South African financial practices. Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in tax filings, including VAT and corporate tax, in line with Dutch and local requirements. Monitor financial transactions for accuracy, and maintain organized and up-to-date records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business goals. Liaise with external auditors and assist with audits for both Dutch and South African entities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills. Proven experience as an Accounts Controller or similar role, with knowledge of Dutch accounting practices and regulations. Strong understanding of IFRS and familiarity with South African accounting standards. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
