Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit Managers main responsibility is to manage the Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit. The Financial Compliance & Accounting unit is responsible for executing all activities within the area as defined by the Job Role of Financial Compliance & Accounting, as well as driving digitalization within the area to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency in Ericsson.
Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit Manager is responsible for driving and participating in collaboration between the Head of Financial Control for the Region and the respective Financial Control Units for the purpose of standardizing and improving the execution of the activities in scope. In collaboration with the other regional Global Finance Compliance & Accounting Units, and with Group Taxes, the Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit Manager is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies to drive and enhance standardization, digitalization, automation, and data quality in the area.
Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit Manager is also responsible for leading a team of Financial Compliance Accounts through the change journey, closely interconnect with the Financial Control Unit Heads and make sure that important business priorities are met in a speedy, flexible, and effective way without compromising on the need for secure, stable, and compliant process execution.
What you will do?

Lead and manage Financial Compliance & Accounting Unit.
Secure efficient and compliant delivery and execution of activities in scope.
Strategy formulation and driving operational roadmap plan in the area.
Lead the team to innovate and drive digitalization and process efficiency.
Enable and secure coordination and collaboration with Financial Control Units.
Develop and drive competence development and change management.

Main Activities

Responsible for people management in the unit i.e., staffing, competence management, performance, and salary reviews.
Responsible for end-to-end financial compliance & accounting activities, as defined by the job role of Financial Compliance Accountant.
Take lead in driving standardization and improvements within the area.
Formulate and implement strategies and operational plans to ensure financial compliance and accounting standardization, opportunities for digitalization & automation, and data quality to ensure accounting compliance and efficiency.
Drive collaboration between members of the Unit and Financial Control Units.
Act as the primary Change Agent for the Unit, leading the team toward the Wanted Position.
Lead the team of Financial Compliance Accountants in securing, providing and supporting:
High quality accounting, tax and financial reporting in compliance with internal and external requirements (IFRS, Local GAAP and Local Taxes).
Correct Legal Entity Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Tax returns.
Period end closing, the entity financial analysis, legal entity governance, internal and external audits (IFRS, statutory and Tax), SOX and ABC compliance.
Financial Control advice (i.e., international, local and tax accounting, withholding, transfer price, EOM…).
Alignment with global financial processes and accounting directives.
Participation in process improvements and automation, special assignments and global projects.

Experience & Education

Management experience.
Academic degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, data analytics and/or the equivalent experience.
Appropriate relevant industry experience in data analytics, automation, ERP system set up, solution set up and design and software development.
Knowledge and experience in tax compliance.
Knowledgeable and understanding of financial systems.
Knowledgeable and understanding of data analytics and tools.
