The successful candidate will act as a Financial Assistant in the SanlamAllianz Group Finance Team and will report to the Head of Statutory Reporting and Consolidation.
What will make you successful in this role?Responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:
Processing and review of foreign subsidiary financial results in HFM (Hyperion financial management) for monthly reporting and year-end close process.Assist with cluster financial consolidation including preparation of note disclosures for year-end close process.Involvement and support for specific improvement projects to enhance the financial close process.Ensure effective controls and procedures are in place.Interactions with the external auditors.Adhoc assistance to the Group Finance team.Qualification and ExperienceRelevant experience in a similar role within financial services and/or insurance industry.Knowledge and SkillsGood working knowledge of IFRS principles and standards and group consolidation.HFM experience will be an added advantage.Personal AttributesAbility to deal with competing priorities and be resilient.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical and conceptual thinking (solving of complex problems).Pro-active individual with the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet stringent deadlines.Core CompetenciesClient Focus.Drive Results.Flexibility and adaptability.Build a successful career with usWe're all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
