Financial Assistant

POSITION: Financial Assistant LOCATION: Observatory  Cape Town REPORTS TO: Finance Manager A family wine company is looking for a seasoned Financial Assistant to support the Finance team at the Head Office.
The ideal candidate is someone with good numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and a hardworking attitude.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum Education                Financial diploma / Business Administration Diploma Additional Qualifications     Computer literate with competence in Microsoft Office 365, (Advanced Excel) (Advanced Word) Knowledge in Corporate Governance / Company secretarial Minimum Work Experience                Minimum 3 - 5 years 'experience as a Finance Assistant Key Result Areas Corporate Governance and Compliance General Finance Assistant duties to CFO Providing administrative assistance Assist with BBEEE and financial audits Liaison with banks and suppliers Liaison with SARS CIPC Company registrations and Contract administration Management of records Performing minor accounting & HR duties Minute taking Ad hoc duties and special projects as allocated from time to time Key Competencies and trait s Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to handle matters professionally, confidentially and sensitively.
Friendly and professional demeanor Experience supporting Finance Executive or a similar role Experience working in a fast-paced environment Highly motivated with a positive "can do" approach Ability to work in a team and independently Strong attention to detail Minimum 5 years 'experience as a Finance Assistant
