Wine Estate & Hotel in the Stellenbosch / Brackenfell area is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the estate's financial planning and decision-making processes. This position will involve financial analysis of each revenue generating outlet, forecasting, budgeting, and analysing financial data to help drive business performance and optimize financial outcomes.
This role will involve managing the online inventory distribution, rate management, and ensuring that all channels are receiving accurate inventory and rates to drive revenue, occupancy and ADR of the hotel and taking a proactive revenue optimization approach to all outlets. Channel Distribution Management of all OTA's included as well as maintain competitive benchmarking practices ensuring that the senior management of constantly aware of competitor activities and pricing.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and maintain financial data to support decision-making.
Assist in analysing variances between actual and budgeted performance, providing insights and recommendations to right correct any unfavourable outcomes.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data related to cellar and wine operations, hospitality services, and overall business performance.
Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
Profitability Analysis:
Perform product and service profitability analysis to support pricing strategies.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with the operations, marketing, and sales teams to gather relevant financial data and analyse business implications.
Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
Revenue Management:
Develop and implement pricing strategies for hotel accommodations to maximize revenue.
Monitor and adjust room rates based on demand forecasts, market trends and competitor analysis
Manage room inventory to ensure the right balance of availability across various channels.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that drive bookings during low-demand periods
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, hospitality management, business administration or a related field.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Revenue Management or a related field, preferably within the hospitality or wine industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
