My client is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support their production and operations teams. You will play a key role in analyzing production costs, optimizing efficiency, and assisting with capital projects, working closely with plant management to align financial goals with operational objectives. This role is based in Johannesburg Central. Key Responsibilities: Production Line Support: Reconcile and review production orders on SAP to ensure accurate material consumption and close orders for proper WIP calculation. Conduct variance analysis and support stock-related requests. Assist with inventory improvement projects and work on aligning financial objectives with production goals. Cost Control & Efficiency: Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reductions. Monitor and control both variable and fixed costs, such as raw materials, labor, and utilities. Implement cost-saving initiatives and track CAPEX to ensure alignment with budgets. Financial Accounting & Stock Management: Participate in monthly fiscal closings and complete stock reconciliations. Assist with audits, lead stock counts, and report on stock variances. Capital Project Evaluation: Assess capital investment proposals, perform ROI and NPV analyses, and monitor the financial performance of capital projects. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5 years proven experience in a Financial Analyst role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. 5 years stock control management experience within the manufacturing/production industry.
