Job Purpose: To administer Nominated, Unnominated and SETA funding, ensuring that funds are administered according to donor criteria and institutional policies and procedures.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Matric/Senior CertificateTwo (2) years administrative experience in the administration of financial aidKnowledge of financial aid policies and procedureKnowledge of ITSRequired to work overtime during peak times or as and when requiredRecommendations: A National Diploma in Business Studies (3-year qualification) or equivalent qualificationKey Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities: Administration of private Bursaries and SETASAssisting students with Financial Aid to register (Financial Clearance)Ensuring that records are kept up to date and accurately filed for quick referencing and audit purposesConfirming validity and integrity of documentsExtracting data, compiling and processing bursary claims in line with donor's criteriaCrediting student's fee account and processing awardsPerforming reconciliation to verify the cost centresParticipate in orientation and open day sessionsPreparing allowance file and processing of allowances to the studentsProvide support to Senior Financial Aid OfficersLiaise with donors, staff, students, and other stakeholdersGeneral administrative duties which include filing and maintaining filing systemPerforming any tasks related to the operations of the office (ad hoc) assigned by the line managerGood communication skills (verbal and written)Good Interpersonal SkillsComputer literacy (ITS, Outlook, Excel and Word)Applied knowledge of ITSKnowledge of financial aid policies, rules, and regulationsExposure to working under pressure with strict adherence to deadlinesContribution to team successManaging Work (incl.
