We are seeking a dedicated and goal-oriented Mass Market Financial Planner to provide tailored financial planning solutions to South Africa's mass market segment.
The successful candidate will assess clients' financial needs, educate them on available products, and guide them toward achieving financial security.
This role requires a client-centric approach, an understanding of the mass market's unique financial challenges, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement:Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular interactions.Conduct needs analysis to understand clients' financial goals and challenges.Offer affordable and suitable financial solutions, including life insurance, funeral cover, savings plans, and retirement products.Prepare and present comprehensive financial plans.Sales and Marketing:Achieve sales targets by identifying and engaging potential clients.Conduct presentations and workshops in communities to educate on financial literacy and available products.Compliance and Administration:Adhere to regulatory requirements as per the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act and other governing bodies.Ensure accurate completion of application forms, policy documents, and client records.Client Support:Provide ongoing service to clients, including policy reviews and updates.Assist clients with claims, policy changes, and general inquiries.Stay informed about industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes.Attend training sessions and meet CPD (Continuing Professional Development) requirements.Key Competencies and SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients with varying levels of financial literacy.Sales-driven with a focus on meeting client needs.Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Qualifications and ExperienceMatric/Grade 12 certificate.NQF Level 5 qualification in Financial Planning or equivalent (preferred).Successfully completed RE5 (Representative Exam).Registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).Experience:At least 2 years of experience in financial planning, insurance sales, or a related field targeting the mass market.Knowledge of relevant financial products such as funeral plans, life cover, and savings options.Additional RequirementsOwn transport and valid driver's license (Preferred).Proficiency in multiple South African languages is advantageous.Clear credit and criminal record.Why Join Us?Competitive commission-based structure with incentives and bonuses.Comprehensive training and mentorship program.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering communities through financial literacy.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance and Sales
