You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting decision-making processes with valuable financial insights.This a 6-month maternity contract based in Midrand.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Accounts & ReportingAssist in the preparation of management accounts.Reconcile general ledger (GL) and balance sheet accounts.Prepare and reconcile monthly financial and spend reports.Conduct detailed variance analysis of management accounts against the budget for inclusion in monthly financial reports.Financial Processes & ControlsEnsure systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained effectively.Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring payments are made within company terms and conditions.Adhere to and update financial policies and procedures regularly.Audit & ComplianceAssist in managing the annual audit process with external auditors.Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements.Drive continual improvement in management reporting and compliance processes.Customer and Staff EngagementProfessionally communicate with customers regarding financial matters.Issue invoices within approved timelines and follow up on payments.Provide financial advice to staff on operational activities.Strategic ContributionCreate savings opportunities and record all savings for reporting to the CEO.Interpret and explain the organisation's financial position at all times.Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance department policies and procedures.Education and Skills RequirementsAccounting Diploma qualification.5 years of experience in finance is essential.Proven experience in a similar finance or administrative role.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounts, and internal controls.Proficiency in excel.
