Financial Accountant Umhlanga, Durban

Job TitleResponsible for accurate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis for group companies. This includes compiling financial statements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, preparation of tax and VAT returns, engaging with auditors and providing support during interim and final audits, analysis of financial information, and assistance on various projects as directed.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for financial reporting including:Preparation and presentation of balance sheet reconciliations and other financial reconciliations for Group CompaniesPreparation of deliverables required for the interim and annual internal and external auditsSubmission and completion of annual financial statements and statutory returns to SARS for the GroupPreparation and presentation of monthly balance sheet management pack to managementPreparing schedules and financial information analysis requiredPreparation of annual financial statements for Group companies using CaseWareGeneral:Support and assistance with team projects and initiativesStock taking procedures when requiredParticipation in team eventsDesired Experience & QualificationQualifications and Experience Required:MatricMinimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar positionUnderstanding of audit techniquesAbility to analyse and spot problems in working processesKnowledge of banking platformsExcel experienceCaseWare experience requiredAccounting software experienceSound knowledge of Income Tax and VAT ActSound knowledge of IFRS and accounting reporting standardsBehaviour and Competencies Required:ProfessionalTime managementLogical approachConsistentMotivatedUses initiativeAccuracyAnalyticalProblem solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam playerPackage & RemunerationRemuneration: A market-related package including benefits.Interested?Kindly click on the link below to apply.NB: Thank you for choosing Talksure as your employer of choice.
