Financial AccountantA South African company specialising in the design, manufacturing, and supply of equipment, systems, and solutions for the mining and mineral processing industries is looking for a Financial Accountant to record, report, and analyse company financial transactions and cost structures, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccounts receivable management - reconciliations, reporting, credit limits, debt collection and cash collection forecastingCreditor reconciliations and bank payments reviewBudgeting and forecasting - sales, cost, profit margins, cash flows and variance analysisProject accounting - billable hours, cost monitoring and recovery analysisFinancial risk assessment and communication to relevant stakeholdersCost control and sales analysis - monitoring major costs, sales performance and profit margin analysisFinancial reporting - real-time cost, performance dashboards and monthly management reportingCompliance with ISO processes and company procedures - reviewing, updating, and developing financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and legal complianceRisk management and insurance - review insurance agreements, monitor business transactions and claim liabilityManagement of inter-company transactions and balancesManage and oversee audit processesReview and analysis of new systems, including participation in system development and implementationDesired Experience & QualificationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CIMA preferred)Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a financial accounting role in engineering/construction or manufacturingIFRS knowledgeProven track record with managing ERP systems such as SAP/BAANExperience with Power BI and advanced MS ExcelPackage & RemunerationR600 000 - R720 000 per annum
