Financial AccountantOur client, a reputable business in the generator industry, is currently looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their growing team based in Midrand, Johannesburg.
Reporting into the Financial Manager and CFO, you will work in support of the Financial Manager towards the optimal use of financial management best practices, including providing financial and administrative services to ensure efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations in the finance department.
In addition, you will also provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, as well as preparing reports.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess monthly Journals in Sage as per schedules:ProvisionsPreference SharesPre-PaymentsLong Term RentalsPetty Cash & Procurement CardsPayroll JournalsAd hoc JournalsCapture additions (New assets) and disposal in the Fixed Assets register.Calculate and process monthly depreciation.Agree Fixed Assets register with Trial Balance and Syrinx Asset Listing.Compile list of disposals & additions.Administration of Insurance claims.Collate and prepare necessary documentation for claims.Communicate progress of claims to all stakeholders.Reconcile Stock Valuations Monthly.Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and submit within due dates.Run a BEE report to ensure supplier BEE Status updated.Send out Night outs and Fuel report to HR.Creditors Recons:Review and sign off Monthly Creditors Recons.Expense Ledger Analysis-Computer Expenses, Legal Fees, Consulting Fees, Repairs and Maintenance, Subscription Fees and General Expenses.And any other ad hoc Projects.Required Skills/TraitsHigh level of commitment and loyaltyQuality oriented with attention to details and capable of working to deadlines.Adhering to deadlines.Attitude towards work and maintain accurate records in the system.Avoid capturing duplicated invoices and reversal of entries.Collating information timeously.Following up on queries.Accountability and reliability.Desired Experience & QualificationMinimum 3 years' financial accounting experience, inclusive of financial reporting and reconciliationsExperienced in working on SAGE or similar softwareStrong Excel SkillsInterested?Suitable candidates are encouraged to reply to this ad or send their CV directly to warren(at)kwena(dot)net for immediate consideration.
