Financial Accountant - Maternity Cover

Our client a well-known FMCG company in Durban Highway area is looking for a Financial Accountant for a short-term maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple financial responsibilities effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation and management of various budgets
Preparing and compiling monthly operations reports
Handling calculations for management fees, dividends, and taxes
Managing end-of-month financial packs
Conducting monthly cost analysis and processing for factory and distribution expenses
Maintaining and updating key schedules, including Waste, R/kg, tonnage, and gainshare
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Managing the Profit Estimate File
Updating and completing distribution and closure income statements
Handling capital expenditure (Capex), including asset capitalization, scrapping, and depreciation tracking
Processing and reconciling HPs, maintaining the HP schedule
Preparing and processing financial journals
Maintaining general filing and housekeeping tasks
Assisting with any additional ad-hoc tasks as required

Key Requirements:
Financial degree or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
