If you're fluent in Mandarin and have a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles, we want to hear from you!As the Financial Accountant for APAC, you will manage the region's financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements, and delivering accurate financial reporting. Your responsibilities include overseeing the monthly close process, preparing financial schedules, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as handling intercompany invoicing, asset register coding, and aged creditor monitoring.Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with external auditors, preparing audit deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax authorities. As a trusted banking authoriser, you will maintain strong banking controls and manage relationships with banking partners.The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified or finalist ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent, with strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience in the hospitality or travel industry. As this role works with APAC counterparts, an ability to understand Mandarin is necessary.Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is highly beneficial. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to meet tight deadlines, are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Periodic Financial Analysis and ReportingPerform the monthly close process for APAC. This includes preparation of monthly schedules, journals and analytical review.Balance sheet reconciliation including schedules for Assets, Payroll, Tax among others.Statutory and Management reporting for APAC.Review of Consumption and Income Tax returns before submission by local accountants.Monthly closure of bank including reconciliation and revaluations.Perform Intercompany invoicing and reconciliations.Coding and maintaining the Asset registers and monthly accounting of depreciation.Own and oversee all Prepayments and Accruals.Ownership of the Account Payable– invoices, authorisations, payments, receipts, cost centres etc.Monitoring of Aged Creditors.Supporting Ops teams by providing necessary reports and analysis.Assist in yearly audit queries with external auditors.
