Learn more at www.crossboundary.com Job Description CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Financial Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, and more!
The Financial Accountant will work directly with the Finance and Operations Manager and the management team to dynamically run the business both locally and internationally.

Who You Are The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
4+ years of relevant experienceBachelor's degree requiredExperience in Xero and SageA self-starter and able to work independentlyExceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detailAbility to meet deadlinesExcellent technical accounting skillsCA(SA) or CIMA is preferred, but not a requirementPrimary Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly closings, financial statement preparation, financial and statutory audit, general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payableEnsure all transactions are recorded and coded accurately in accounting systemsCompile and process weekly payment runsPrepare financial reporting for all regional entities, including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, UK, Thailand, Tunisia, and other applicable countriesUpload bank statements for all regional entities weekly and match invoices to paymentsPrepare monthly financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, etc.Perform bank reconciliationsPerform balance sheet reconciliationsReview and approve expense reports and expense reimbursements to ensure proper chargingMonitor accounts to ensure payments are up to dateMaintain asset registerPrepare monthly cash flow forecastCoordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecastPrepare monthly and annual returns, SARS, WCAPrepare and process sundry and recurring monthly journalsAssist with providing information to external auditors for the annual auditImplement monthly management reporting packages across all subsidiariesAnalyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial impact of any variations from actual performance to budget and forecastAssist with other administration functionsAd hoc duties and support to the finance teamLocation Johannesburg, South Africa
