The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, and more!
The Financial Accountant will work directly with the Finance and Operations Manager and the management team to dynamically run the business both locally and internationally.

Who You Are The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: 4+ years of relevant experience Bachelor's degree required Experience in Xero and Sage A self-starter and able to work independently Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines Excellent technical accounting skills CA(SA) or CIMA is preferred, but not a requirement  Primary Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly closings, financial statement preparation, financial and statutory audit, general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Ensure all the transactions are recorded and coded accurately in accounting systems Compile and process weekly payment runs Prepare financial reporting for all regional entities, including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, UK, Thailand, Tunisia, and other applicable countries Upload bank statements for all regional entities weekly and match invoices to payments Prepare monthly financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, etc.
Perform bank reconciliations Perform balance sheet reconciliations Review and approve expense reports and expense reimbursements to ensure proper charging Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date Maintain asset register  Prepare monthly cash flow forecast Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecast Prepare monthly and annual returns, SARS, WCA Prepare and process sundry and recurring monthly journals Assist with providing information to external auditors for the annual audit Implement monthly management reporting packages across all subsidiaries Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial impact of any variations from actual performance to budget and forecast Assist with other administration functions Ad hoc duties and support to the finance team Location Johannesburg, South Africa Equal Opportunity Employer CrossBoundary is an equal opportunity employer. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process, please send a request to ****** .
