Financial Accountant

Introduction
A fast growing supplier of veterinary products is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in Stellenbosch. In this role you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be assisting with running the daily finance operations. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to some of the tasks and responsibilities that are usually associated with being a Finance Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities


Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.


Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.


Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.


Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting.


Assisting and being involved in other accounting and non-accounting tasks as required


Qualifications:


Completed SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles (highly beneficial)


Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)


3 to 6 years experience in an accounting-focused role


Proficiency in XERO accounting software and Microsoft Excel (beneficial)


Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Salary range:


R25 000 - R33 000 per month. Highly dependent on candidate experience.
