Qualifications: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Bachelors Degree in BCOM Accounting or equivalent.
Honours Degree in BCOM Accounting or equivalent advantageous.
Registered CA advantageous.
Valid Drivers License.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.
Experience in Mining Industry advantageous.
Experience in SAP advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills: English: Fully Proficient.

Major Activities (KPAs): Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
Capture all transactions on the financial system timeously and ensure it is supported by valid documentation.
Summarize and prepare reports on current financial status by collecting information, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports.
Substantiate financial transactions by reviewing documents.
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Maintain financial information by completing data base backups and proper filing system.
Assist with auditing process by providing documentation on request.
Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Respond to accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Provide general support and assistance to the Finance Manager, Finance Controller and CFO on any other financial administration and related deliverables.
Report to China HQ in terms of the necessary reporting requirements, such as updating the bank balances, funding structures on the HQ reporting system OA.
Administer fleet card for the companys vehicle fleet (reporting and administration).
Prepare all required documentation for the bank administration (FICA, update of users, cancellation of cards, etc.)
Manage monthly SARS PAYE e-filing and payments.
SARS VAT e-filing and payments.
Review invoices and payments captured into SAP accounting software.
Load approved payments into FNB online banking profile, for authorisation by Finance Manager, CFO & CEO.
Monitor credit cards limit and replenishments when required.
Maintain petty cash and monthly reconciliation thereof as needed.
Maintain and update the Fixed asset register.
Conduct monthly reconciliation of GL (general ledger) accounts as assigned by the Financial Manager.
Process month end journals including accruals.
Assist with the management of the budget for the Finance Department and the preparation of budget Company wide.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monthly performance reports and assist with the management of working capital.
Provide support to Finance manager when requested.
