We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a leading bespoke furniture manufacturer.
This opportunity is for a detail-oriented professional to deliver comprehensive financial services that allow the CEO to oversee and manage the Group's performance.
This includes reporting on the results of the Group and its affiliates while ensuring compliance with Corporate Governance.
The focus is on maximizing profitability and performance through effective control, strategic financial planning, policy interpretation, asset management, and the proactive identification of opportunities to enhance financial returns.Key Responsibilities:Overview:Oversee cash flow forecasting and weekly budget management.Involvement in the potential implementation of a new ERP system.Provide extensive management and accounting service to facilitate optimal financial planningMain responsibilities:Oversee business management processes, including Finance, HR, Production, and Marketing.Coordinate monthly management reporting and prepare the CEO's reports.Manage annual statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.Oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and tax compliance (VAT/UIF/PAYE).Identify tax planning opportunities and manage insurance risk.Lead the Finance Team and manage daily financial operations, including cash flow forecasting and supplier payments.Handle balance sheet management, cash management, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and oversee payroll functions.Delegated Authority:Access to all financials with the requirement for one-up clearance for extraneous items.Meet pre-set deadlines for all reports.Indirect Involvement:Participate in group strategic planning, treasury activities, working capital management, and various ad-hoc projects (e.g., ERP implementation, factory build).Qualifications & Technical Requirements:Bachelor of Commerce (minimum) or equivalentExperience with Syspro (or similar ERP systems) and Xero.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medium-sized enterprise.Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
