Financial Accountant

Our client, based in the Winelands region, has an exciting full-time Financial Accountant position available within their Finance Team. The ideal candidate will manage full financial functions for multiple companies up to trial balance, with a strong accounting background (including debtors, creditors, payments and bank reconciliations). The successful candidate will ensure all administrative duties are conducted professionally and promptly. KEY PERFORMANCE AREASFinancial Administration (debtors, creditors, and payments)Maintaining accurate financial records through detailed cost allocationsProcessing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsEnsuring timely bank payments and bank reconciliationsPreparation of basic financial reports such as income statements and balance sheetsAssisting in financial year-end closure, preparing annual audit files, and helping with audit queriesMaintaining confidentiality of financial information and adhering to company policiesSupporting the Financial Manager with ad-hoc tasks for new financial and management reportsPerforming all other financial and administrative duties as required REQUIREMENTSBachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)Tertiary Accounting/Bookkeeping Qualification (essential)Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically Excel)Experience in Microsoft Business Central is advantageousBasic understanding of accounting principles and conceptsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment with reliable transportationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrior work experience in accounting or bookkeeping is essential SALARYR35 000 R40 000 CTC
