Financial Accountant

This role is based in Douglas and offers a salary range of £ 70 000 - £ 85 000 per annum.Overall Purpose:As the Financial Accounting Manager, reporting directly to the Group Head of Financial Reporting, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the accurate and timely month-end close process for all entities in the Group. Your role will be crucial in preparing and reviewing regulatory returns, VAT and tax calculations, and providing essential financial information to business functions, enabling informed budgeting and investment decisions.Key Responsibilities:Ensure high-quality financial outputs from your teamPerform bank reconciliations weekly and monthlyLiaise with accounts payable and billing teams for accurate financial recordsProvide technical guidance on complex accounting transactions (e.g., IFRS 9 and 16)Review monthly trend analysis, profit and loss, and balance sheet reportsComplete VAT and tax returns within deadlinesQualifications and Experience:Chartered Accountant (ACCA or CA) with several years of PQEPrevious IFRS and financial services experienceProven track record in team management and developmentStrong project management skillsKnowledge of different jurisdictional tax requirementsExperience with regulatory filingsCompetencies, Skills, and Behaviors:Proficient in various accounting systems, with knowledge of Microsoft Business Central being advantageousAdvanced Excel skills, including macro level, Power Pivot, and Power BITeam player with excellent leadership qualitiesFrench language skills would be a bonusHow to Apply:If you meet the above requirements, please send your resume DIRECTLY
