Financial Accountant My client, The National Chamber of Milling , was founded in 1936 . The Chamber serves as the exclusive trade association for South African millers, advocating for and advancing the industry's collective interests. Representing approximately 80% and 40% of the total wheat and maize processed for human consumption in South Africa respectively, it plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality, nutritious, and safe staple foods. Financial Accountant will oversee my clients financial operations, including accounts receivable and payable, banking and investments, audit and financial statements preparation, financial reviews and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, taxation, and internal control systems and processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements in accordance with Generally Recognized Accounting Practices (GRAP). What will this person be responsible for? Accounts Payable & Receivable Financial Statements, Preparation & Reporting Budget Preparation Ledger Maintenance Regulatory Compliance & Taxation Payroll & Other Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge, Skills, Attributes or Competencies required for this role : Bachelor's degree / diploma / equivalent qualification in accounting or finance with substantial experience, knowledge, and innovative skills. 5 years' experience in a full accounting function or finance role. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proven ability to analyze management accounts. Experience in financial reporting and statements. Deadline driven and results orientated. Hands-on experience in accounting software and ERP systems – Pastel, Sage. Understanding of organization's trading environment and business operations. Strong communication and presentation skills. Competent in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) Power Point, Outlook) package. Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. Strong and driven personality with flexible approach. Ability to work independently and in a team. Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally when required.
