Financial Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full accounting functions of the business and assisting the financial manager daily. Duties and Responsibilities: Capturing of financial information provided by various subsidiariesConverting financial information and transactions from a foreign currency to a functional reporting currencyPerform financial reconciliations, including but not limited to bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliationsTax computations and co-ordinating information between subsidiaries and tax consultantsPrepare monthly reportsAccount for intra-group transactions and eliminationsBalancing of loans on a group levelAnalyse trends in financial information and conduct follow-up on variances identifiedCompiling monthly management reportsDevelop period reports for managementProvide accurate and timeous feedback to queries received from management and other stakeholdersAssist with audit requests to complete audits in timePrepare budget and financial forecastsKeep up with financial policies, regulations, legislation, IFRS Standards and exchange rate conversions Skills and Qualifications:Bcom Accounting degree2 years in an accounting roleMust have worked in a finance departmentSage Evolution would be ideal
