Financial Accountant

Requirements:BCom Honours (CTA)5 yrs experience in Financial ManagementHospitality or gaming experience - advantageousSkills:Analysing / Diagnosing performance of the departmentReviewing - Assessing feasibility; assessing compliance; efficienciesAppraising / Developing Others including evaluating for recruitment, performance, coaching and trainingKnowledge of statutory legal and tax requirementsStrong technical knowledge including IFRS developmentsStrong knowledge of accounting systemsKeep abreast of new developments in the financial and tax fieldsResponsibilities:Oversee the recording of financial transactions and reporting for F&B and hotel outlets Monitor and manage productivities and payroll costs for the departmentsOversee the completion of stock control processesIntegrates Group standards into Unit OperationsAlign and update practices with new legislative and tax regulationsImplement sufficient control measures & checks within each department to mitigate any financial risk to the businessCo-ordinate internal and external financial auditsAnnual financial statementsFinancial reporting on departmental projects and initiativesCompile tax and quarterly board packsManage staff conditions of employment, e.g. attendance, absenteeism, leave, adherence to policies and proceduresAct as the SME on Financial statutory legislation and tax requirements
