Our client based in Sandton, Johannesburg have gone to market for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sound financial analysis, support and advice to the wider finance team and contribute to the organisational goals by providing and co-ordinating accurate and efficient administrative services for Accounts receivable.
The Financial Accountant duties will include, but are not limited to: Apply the principles, policies, processes, and procedures related to the Finance department.
Interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations of accounting standards.
Debtor management.
Reviewing payment plan for new intakes, that they are adhering to the policy.
Manage reports for new intake preparations.
Monthly provision for bad debt analysis report.
Balance sheet maintenance and reconciliation review.
Planning and preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports.
Review and approval of credit notes.
Assist in various finance projects.
Monthly preparation of Management Accounts.
Assist in BBBEE evidence collection.
Debtors Offset report for financial year-end preparations.
Audit preparations.
The successful candidate will have: Proficient in financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards (GAAP/IFRS), and financial regulations.
Advanced skills in financial software (SAGE 300) and Excel for financial modelling and data analysis.
Experience in audit preparation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
