Qualifications: CA(SA) or CIMA preferred; candidates with a BCom in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Informatics and strong SQL/data skills are welcome. Minimum Requirements: 3 years in an accounting role, ideally in IT or Telecommunications Proficiency with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Solid working knowledge of SQL or similar database languages is highly advantageous Experience with analytics, automation tools, and an interest in AI applications is beneficial Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining professionalism Duties and Responsibilities: Lead financial reporting for the fibre connectivity product line, including: Reconciling creditor billing with operational data Resolving billing disputes, managing margin leaks Analyzing the financial impact of pricing changes and promotions Accounts Receivable: Assist the debtors team with payment queries and allocations Accounts Payable: Support the creditors team in resolving queries and managing payment schedules, while ensuring compliance with purchasing policies Bank and Cash Management: Upload statements, allocate transactions, and reconcile accounts Fixed Assets: Oversee asset management, prepare depreciation schedules, and reconcile to the general ledger Stock Reconciliations, month-end GL reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries Prepare monthly and consolidated management accounts for the group Assist with audit processes and ad-hoc accounting projects This role is a great fit for an Accountant who is skilled with SQL and is passionate about integrating finance with data-driven systems.
