Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.Oversee the month-, quarter-, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes.Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.Ensure tax compliance and preparation of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain effective financial controls.Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.Monitor and report on cost performance, budgeting, and profitability within the mining operations.Assist in preparing management accounts and delivering financial insights to senior management.Requirements:BCom Honours Degree in Accounting or related field.Completion of SAICA/SAIPA articles.Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within the mining or related industries.Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Pastel, SAP, or similar ERP systems).Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.Apply Now!
