Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to guide strategic decision-making.Ensure compliance with South African tax laws, IFRS standards, and financial regulations.Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient working capital for operational needs.Liaise with external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.Implement and maintain internal controls and ensure the accuracy of all financial data.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Manage the finance team, ensuring efficient operation and performance.Conduct financial risk assessments and propose measures for risk mitigation.Collaborate with executive management to align financial strategy with overall business objectives.Requirements:Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.Completed SAICA articles.Membership with a recognised professional body such as:South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA)Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIA SA)5+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and relevant tax laws.Proficiency in financial software such as Sage, SAP, or Pastel.Excellent communication and leadership skills.High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
