Financial Accountant

Job & Company Descriptions:A entertainment company is currently seeking an Accountant to join their finance team. The purpose of this position is to record, report and provide accurate financial information As an Accountant you will responsible for the following:Planning and ControlAssist the Finance Controller with opening production bank accounts based on signed contracts.Manage the P2P workflow by creating necessary processes and training new users.Issue and fund petty cash cards upon receipt of requests from Production Accountants.Project Budget and MarginsPrepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for sales and costs by collaborating with business heads. Debtors ControlAdd new customers to the Sage system upon receiving contracts/quotations.Invoice customers based on signed agreements and manage cash receipts.Analyze debtor aging reports and follow up on outstanding payments weekly. Financial ManagementCalculate and prepare revenue and deferred revenue per IFRS 15 monthly.Close P2P requisitions and expense accruals for cost of sales calculations.Prepare and submit relevant journals and work in progress calculations for review. Cash ManagementOversee petty cash processing and ensure reconciliations align with the ledger.Provide weekly cash receipt forecasts and monthly reports on outstanding debtors. ReportingSupport Central Finance in preparing management accounts and sales reports monthly.Generate consolidated cash flow statements quarterly and assist in performance reporting. AuditAid auditors with clarifications and support during annual financial statement preparation. Governance and ComplianceCompile and submit BBBEE spend and training information from financial reports as required. Job Experience and Skills Required:Completed Bcom in FinanceCompleted SAICA or SAIPA articlesMinimum 3 years experience in a similar position
