ResponsibilitiesPreparation of IFRS Compliant Financial Statements & Management accounts on DraftworxIFRS 16 contracts management and posting of relevant entriesAssist with MRS reporting: Early, Normal & Quarterly IGM reportingPost Retirement Medical Aid accountingCalculation of provisions of month end, quarterly & yearly provisions relating to bad debts, stock, warranty, etc.Balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility and reviewing those performed by Finance Shared Service (FSS)Assist with management of Company Taxation matters (Company tax, Dividend Tax, Submission & Closing of Audits)Assist with monthly VAT submissions and clearing audits within timelinesEnsure export control compliance on all foreign payments & monitoring of approvals/applicationsAssist with sustainability reporting for the legal entitiesSAP Concur (for expense claims) controller locally & ensuring postings are done accurately, reclassifications where necessaryOverseeing the management of company credit cards (issuing, cancellations, usage)Assisting with year-end audit preparation files and audit queriesContribute to internal control improvementsManage Finance Shared Services deliverables to ensure no deviations from SLAGL Accounting support to Finance ManagerAdhoc requests from managementQualifications & ExperienceSAICA articles is an added advantageMinimum 3 years working experience in an Accounting and Reporting environment.Experience in multinational company is an added advantage.SkillsPossess high level of integrity.Be thorough and pay attention to detail.Experience and knowledge of MS Office tools.Have outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.Be able to work independently.Be flexible and open to change.Have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.About UsEvery day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society.
