Duties / Responsibilities:Note all material once off amounts for the month and report to management accounting during P and L analysisCompare preliminary flash and final flash resultsProvide valid explanation for the numbers and results, and related queriesAnalyse and reconcile profit and loss for statutory and regulatory reportingAnalyse, reconcile and substantiate balance sheet for statutory and regulatory reportingCompile FAS packEnsure accuracy, validity and completeness of all statutory reportingEnsure correct format and data reconciles for regulatory reportingEngage with key stakeholders in order to best estimate business expectationsCompile the forecast and budget per Business UnitAssist with budget presentation to internal stakeholdersBuild and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise influence and negotiate to achieve win-win outcomesInitiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress manage expectations and ensure stakeholders requirements are deliveredPreserve relationships despite airing conflicting views and seeks mutual gains when addressing conflictsAnticipate consequences and adapt problem solving based on continual feedbackAct speedily to resolve problems queries and complaintsAdapt communication styles to meet the needs of different audiencesMake an effort to stay relevant and up to date with relevant banking industry compliance i.e., FAISConsolidate data and present results to relevant business ownersAdjust and tailor the approach taken to level and needs of relevant stakeholdersEnsure documents are formalised and numbers have been checked before board meeting for shared understandingEnsure reported data and information adds value to stakeholdersProvide clear commentary on monthly performance EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:Educational Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance;Postgraduate degrees and certifications like CA(SA), CMA, CIMA, or ACCA preferredProfessional Certifications: preferredChartered Accountant (CA(SA)):Certified Management Accountant (CMA):Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA):Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA):Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Work Experience:Experience of 3-7 years, with a solid understanding of financial accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.Additional Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective time management and organizational skills
