Job DescriptionTHE JOB AT A GLANCE:You will perform various tasks to support the finance manager and the accounts receivable team, including but not limited to, requesting manual journals, reconciling balance sheets accounts and reporting.ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU WILL DO:FinancialPreparation of all debtors recons, Reviewing trade spend reconsManaging queries on recons in line with SOPReview and validate fixed claims and variable claims received from customersClaim approvals in line with DoA, SOP and approved mandatesPrepare all month end accounting entries (debtors sub-ledger recon, debtors ECL and specific provisions, credit note provision, settlement discount provision, IFRS 15 journal, Trade Cost etc)Maintain trading term database to ensure correct provisioningMaintain trading term trackerAttending to and resolving customer queriesPerforming customer recalculations to ensure correct provisioningPreparation of agents commissions and cash vans accrualsCompliance and GovernanceAssist with internal and external audits and audit requirements relating to trade cost and AR.ReportingProduce various financial and other analyses as determined by SLA'sProduce ad hoc and planned reports and analyses for AR finance functionContinuous ImprovementActively drive system improvement and reporting enhancements.People ManagementManage accounting team including assistant accountant/s and trade cost clerical team membersAdhocProvide financial and accounting assistance to the Finance Managers and Accounts receivables team as requiredQualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Business analytical skillsStrong finance business backgroundAdvanced knowledge in the use of financial software applications, databases and spreadsheets required.Be able to make sound, independent judgements.Strong analytical and conceptual abilitiesWell refined technical finance skillsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle, AccessExperienceFinancial qualification/ degree3 - 5 years Trade Cost and Accounts Receivable experienceAbout UsTiger Brands is proudly Africa's largest listed manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
