Financial Accountant

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to be a vital part of their finance team. Your expertise in the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and extensive post-articles experience will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. Duties: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with PFMA standards and other relevant regulations.Oversee the full accounting function, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing procedures.Ensure adherence to PFMA standards and other regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, supporting strategic decision-making.Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications: BCom Accounting DegreeSAICA or SAIPA articles requiredKnowledge of PFMAExperience:A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role
