The Role:Ensure general accounting is managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Ensure compliance with IFRS, local legislation and Sandvik processes and regulations in the general accounting area. The candidate will provide support to the Finance Manager by performing operational finance functions across all reporting and legal entities.
Key Responsibilities:Develop the ways of working in the general accounting areaReview and manage financial reports and accounting statements to ensure their accuracyPerform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accountsManage internal and external auditsPrepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principlesProvide financial control support to Business control on forecasting activities and BPC reportingPrepare separate and consolidated financial statements for the groupPrepare technical opinions on complex accounting mattersSupport the tax department on financial information and tax submissionsMaintain the fixed asset register and all related systems and policies thereofMinimum Skills and Qualifications:Newly-Qualified CA (SA) or 1 year post articles experienceOffice Suite LiteracyEnglish proficiencyProfessional, energetic, dynamic and positive team player with great business acumenAbility to work well within a high-pressure environmentMust be able to liaise on all levels in the organisationWilling to work extended hours during financial reporting cycles as well as during ad hoc reporting periodsHow to Apply:To apply, please click on the 'Apply Now' button, or access the Sandvik website www.home.sandvik/en/careers.
