Financial Accountant

Job & Company Descriptions:One of the largest and oldest independent renewable power producers in South Africa is on the lookout for a Financial Accountant.
The Financial Accountant assures that all financial recordkeeping duties are done on time which might but is not limited include bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting up to trail balance for a dedicated area. As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible:Ensure financial accounting services comply with IFRS and corporate governance.Manage special projects and provide timely updates.Maintain reporting integrity and adhere to accounting principles.Oversee risk management for banking transactions.Manage intercompany loans, debtors, and creditors; prepare age analyses and customer invoices.Calculate month-end journal entries and compile financial statements.Review VAT returns and prepare cash flow forecasts.Supervise asset verification and maintain the asset register.Assist in budget compilation and cost tracking.Prepare reporting packs for audits and board meetings.Foster relationships with stakeholders and respond to queries promptly.Collaborate with auditors to facilitate the audit process. Job Experience and Skills Required:Completed Bcom in FinanceCompleted SAICA or SAIPA articlesMinimum 3 - 5 years post article experience in a similar positionHyperion is a non-negotiable
