Financial Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a background in property management?
We are looking for a skilled professional that is responsible for maintaining accurate financial and tax reporting, while managing and implementing accounting and reporting controls.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare annual financial statements for companies under management.
Submit IT14s, provisional tax returns, Dividend Tax Returns, and reconcile VAT and Withholding Tax returns for both South African and foreign entities.
Assist with annual budget and forecast preparation.
Monthly review of bank reconciliations, manage trial balances, and ensure timely consolidation for all reporting entities.
Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers monthly and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Compile/review monthly management accounts and prepare working papers for group reporting.
Perform month-end and year-end system closures and liaise with internal/external auditors.
Review and authorize payments through FNB Online.
Develop, monitor, and implement internal accounting policies.
Assist in preparing board meeting and sub-committee meeting packs.
Qualifications & Skills: B. Com Honours or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (B. Com) .
Completed articles will be advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior accounting/reporting role.
Staff management experience will be advantageous.
Strong group reporting, taxation, and consolidations experience.
Proficiency in CaseWare and/or Draftworx .
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
