Financial Accountant

Reference: JHB007286-JO-1Well-established Multi-national company based in Midrand has an opening for an Accountant to join their team. Successful incumbent will report directly to the Financial Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesA completed B.Com (Accounting) degree is essential, with completed SAICA articles and 2 years post-articles experience, or a completed B.Com (Accounting) degree with 3-4 years commercial experience preferably within the Mining / Construction sector would be ideal for this role. SAP B1 experience highly advantageous. Duties include:Responsible for the full accounting functionReconcile the GL accountTrial balanceCompile management statements weeklyProcessing of cashbook, debtors, creditors, costing and revenue analysisSub-contractors reconciliationsPayment of creditors and salariesDepreciation of assetsReconciliations of the VAT account and import VAT accountPreparation of tax as well as NAMRA tax returnsProduct costing (BOM calculation and verification)Identifying cost saving initiativesBank reconciliations and cashflow planning and managementPackage & Remuneration
