Financial Accountant

Requirements:Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on the construction industryProficiency in BuildSmart is essential. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysisCPA or equivalent certification is preferredStrong understanding of financial regulations and standards within the construction industryExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic duties include, but are not limited to:Financial Reporting: Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standardsBudgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and reporting findingsCost Management: Oversee project costing, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accuratelyAccounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collectionsTax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, preparing and submitting tax returns as requiredAuditing: Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and informationFinancial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planningSoftware Management: Utilize BuildSmart for financial management, reporting, and project trackingExcel Proficiency: Create and manage complex spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and prepare detailed reports using ExcelTeam Collaboration: Work closely with managers, Quantity Surveyor, and other stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
