Job Description An innovative company is offering an opportunity for a Financial Accountant.
The role involves processing invoices, managing bank payments, and handling general ledger operations, including reconciliations and monthly closings.
It also includes maintaining fixed asset registers, ensuring tax compliance, and assisting with audits and other ad hoc tasks.
A Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping, fluency in Afrikaans, and a strong grasp of accounting principles are required.
Responsibilities: Capturing of customer and supplier invoices Loading of bank payments Prepare and process journal entries to trial balance level Complete general ledger operations Monthly supplier and customer closings and reconciliations Prepare analysis of accounts as requested by various departments within the business Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable Accountable for accounts/bank reconciliations Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of fixed asset registers Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and accompanying reports Ensuring adequate accounting practices are followed regarding VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and WCA Prepare VAT201 returns and complete reconciliations Assist with preparation for annual BEE audit Assist with preparation for annual financial audits Assist with ad hoc tasks Requirements: Accounting qualification, Bookkeeping qualification Accounting (SAIPA) articles will be advantageous At least 3 years accounting experience Xero / Ability to learn new accounting software Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge Knowledge of inventory management would be advantageous Attention to detail and accuracy Planning and organizing Communication skills Initiative Ability to identify opportunities for cost or time saving Problem analysis and problem-solving skills Ability to work patiently within a team Adherence to deadlines Driven and performance-oriented Good command of English & Afrikaans language #J-18808-Ljbffr
