Qualifications and Experience:BCom Accounting Hons - Articles advantageousExperience with SAGE 300 advantageousDuties include:Support and conduct financial and accounting operations of the group entitiesInvolved in prep. of cash flow forecasts and budgetsEnsuring the process for cash inflows and outflows are completed seamlesslyInvolved in the review of Treasury work (Including Equipment Maintenance; Petty Cash controls; Tender Type Maintenance; and Receipt of Monies from branches/stores)Reconciliation of bank statement to SAGE GL and following up on variancesReview the bank reconciliations completed by the treasury clerksReview payments loaded, and authorise when payments can be submitted for releaseLiaise with signatories and ensure all payments are released successfullyManaging new beneficiaries on the banking systemPetty cash control and safekeepingReview of budgets vs actual allocationsInvolved in the preparing of accurate and timely monthly management accountsDriving the month end and year end closing processReconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement account reconciliationsReview the general ledger for accuracyReview and assist in preparation of individual entity monthly management packsAssist with audit queriesAssist HOD/HOF in data analytics and marketing (Target Marketing)Provide support to any ad hoc queriesSkills and competancies:Strong leadership skillsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skillsInterpersonal skillsMathematical proficiencyAttention to detailOrganizational, planning and analytical skillsAdvanced Excel and Microsoft OfficeAbility to multi-task and prioritiseProficient in general accounting, closing & reporting
