This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Accountant located in Durban. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for: Reporting to Finance Management · Daily, weekly & monthly preparation of payments and analysis of payments · Budgeting schedules of expenses · Financial reporting, utilizing accounting software, and applying analytical skills to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with IFRS and SARS · Full Creditors function (including but not limited to: Issuing PO's, obtaining the invoices, ensuring accuracy of invoices, correct PO's, daily processing of invoices, creditor statement reconciliation to GL, etc) · Full Debtors function (including but not limited to: Quotes, Invoicing and processing of invoices accurately, Statements with GL reconciliations) · Reconciliation and processing of Expense claims (ensuring accuracy of recons submitted, reconciling all items to supporting documents, capturing and reconciling to the system, Recon Tracker, etc) · Preparing Balance Sheet Schedules and analysis · Preparing Income statements schedules and analysis (these include Project Costings and Expense Costings) · Liaising with Landlords, Suppliers, Debtors and preparing related schedules · Power monitoring and tasks related · Reporting and schedules of all site related items required by management · Monthly VAT schedules and reconciliations · Accurate and timely processing of journal entries · Ensuring all of the documents relating to the tasks performed are filed and kept on file for audit · Year end audit preparation · Handling any logistical items for export or import of Items (including but not limited to): liaising with the supplier, clearing agents, transportation entity, and internally till Payment and Goods are received / sent out. · Admin related duties (including but not limited to): Dealing with Insurances, filling out forms/documents, and performing ad hoc related admin duties Qualifications and Skills Requirements· Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field mandatory · SAICA or SAIPA articles mandatory · SAGE EVOLUTION ERP experience mandatory · Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills · Analytical Skills · Finance and Accounting Software proficiency · Experience in financial analysis and reporting · Ability to work effectively in a team · Attention to detail and accuracy · Execute and implement internal procedures and processes ensuring compliance · Works methodically and in an organised manner · Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities to ensure timely and accurate resolution of items · Multi-tasking and time-management skills, showing the ability to manage self and prioritise tasks · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Work with project team to prioritize business and information needs · Ability to work under pressure and within a deadline driven environment · Ability to effectively engage with management · MS office skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Seniority levelSeniority level Entry level Employment typeEmployment type Full-time Job functionJob function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Telecommunications Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Insite Towers by 2xGet notified about new Financial Accountant jobs in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
